Meet Blake A. Jones , MD
Title: Doctor of Medicine
Blake A. Jones is a native of St. Paul, MN, and grew up in Canada. He attended the University of Western Ontario where he studied chemistry before enrolling at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He obtained his M.D. degree in 1990. After completing his medical internship at the Toronto General Hospital in 1991, Dr. Jones subsequently entered medical residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. After practicing with the U.S. Public Health Service-Indian Health Service for one year, he returned to Mayo for a National Institutes of Health fellowship in gastroenterology and completed his training in 1998.Dr. Jones is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
Dr. Jones practices general gastroenterology, the diagnosis, and management of digestive diseases.
In his spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking, and spending time with his wife Tracy and their three children.
