Ryan Reynold’s & Rob McElhenny’s First Colonoscopy

Two of the world’s most loved actors, Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney, of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” each had their first colonoscopy this year at age 45 (the recommended age for routine screening). As Ryan says, this is a simple procedure that could save your life. Both Ryan and Rob vlogged the process to help educate others about the importance of early screening.
Ryan shared this experience with millions of viewers in hopes it will raise awareness for this life saving procedure. During the vlog, you see Ryan waking up after his colonoscopy and the doctor explaining he found and removed a polyp that that could have potentially advanced into cancer. One main reason the physician was able to find this small polyp was because Ryan prepped so well for the colonoscopy. Next, Rob had his screening colonoscopy. The findings consisted of three polys that were removed. If you have reached the age of 45, it’s time to make an appointment for your routine screening colonoscopy.
